How We Evaluate Gear and Workouts

Editorial Policy

I started BodyPusher because I couldn’t find fitness advice that actually fit apartment living. That’s still the filter that everything on this site runs through.

How I Decide What to Write About

Every topic on BodyPusher comes from a real problem — something I’ve personally dealt with or a question I keep seeing from people in the same situation. If it doesn’t apply to someone working out in a small apartment, it doesn’t belong here.

How I Evaluate Equipment

When I look at a piece of fitness equipment, I’m not just asking “is it good?” I’m asking:

  • Does it fit? How much floor space does it actually need during use?
  • Does it store? Will it fold, stack, or tuck away without taking over a room?
  • Is it quiet? Can you use it without complaints from neighbors or housemates?
  • Is it practical daily? Is the setup simple enough that you’ll actually use it?
  • Is it worth the space it costs? Does it earn its square footage?

Where I can, I test equipment myself. When I can’t, I’m transparent about that — I rely on verified user feedback, manufacturer specs, and hands-on research rather than pretending otherwise.

Affiliate Links

Some links on BodyPusher are affiliate links. If you buy through them, I may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. This helps keep the site running.

Affiliate relationships don’t determine what I recommend. Plenty of products I’ve reviewed I wouldn’t buy myself — and I say so.

Accuracy and Updates

If something on this site is wrong or outdated, I want to know. I update content when products change, better options become available, or a page just needs to be clearer.
